What are your resolutions for 2012? At the top of my list is: make more art! The other? Spend more time with people who feed my soul. I imagine these two will goals will be accomplished together a great deal of the time as I enjoy making art with/around other people. It's one of the reasons I have enjoyed teaching and attending workshops.
I hope you'll join me some day in the Art Room. Whether it be to make some greeting cards, take a class, or just share a cup of tea - it will be nice to spend some time with you.
About the artwork above: Several years ago, I took a class with Karen
Michelle (one of my all time fav artists) on how to create wood
vignettes (mini-collages on one board). I've enjoyed making these and have been making single pieces for magnets or smaller wall hangings.
Back to some basics
Greeting Cards: When I was in England last spring, I spent a lot of time with friends making handmade cards and it reminded me why I have so many stamps and papers in the Art Room!
Workshops
Mixed Media Mandala Mirror: FUNctional art!
Steampunk Pez Dispensers: Transform an ordinary Pez dispenser into an artifact of another era and world.
